A pantser, by the way, is a term typically applied to those who write fiction "by the seat of their pants", i.e. without an outline or fully plotting things out. A plotter, in contrast, prefers to work with some form of outline, figuring out most or all of a piece before writing it. A hybrid would be someone who works somewhere between.
