Very flattered that you think my poem can help you. You may want to look at the rework i've just completed on it.

Happy New Year to you Salvador. and a big thank you to you for taking the time to look at and critique my work.
Very best

I'm glad you read these creations of mine that seem never to end or never finished editing. These babies have become part of my life and I hope the embed themselves into the future. I have this idea that I would hate to have this beautiful life and then nothing. I have a purpose which adds to my vigor to live, write, and teach. I would like to reach many others and I hope to teach many more children by ridding myself of the bureaucratic binds you referred to in your comments and open a national chain of charter schools that would mirror my style of education. I hope to convince some famous and non-famous people with money to invest in the future of America. "Democracy cannot function if it's people are ignorant and uneducated." Thomas Jefferson's quote is so very true in these times. A charter school would also give me the authority to make sure that the other three legs of my education model (think of a four legged stool,) does their part. The parents, support staff, and importantly the students themselves need to be held just as accountable as I am. Thank you for reading and commenting, keep in touch and I'll will too. Write back soon, Sal
"When Do I Teach" had me laughing in a sad way. Laughing because I followed all the exhaustive testing requirements (they really are getting ridiculous, aren't they?) and sad because what you're describing is exactly the reason I didn't finish my own teaching degree. Anyone can follow the acronyms. Takes someone with patience and heart to continue despite overbearing legislation and still encourage creativity in the classroom. That deserves a thank you. And all the encouragement I can offer!
Hi, Sal. Thanks for teaching the joys of language. I washed out of the field, myself, but have never forgotten two people - the uncle who taught me to frame a shot, and the teacher who showed me the English language was fun to play with.
