Salvador Daily added a discussion to the group Short Story
I have a short weird fiction, horror story that needs some critique It's in the style of Lovecraft with a good dose of Borges mixed in But hopefully is more in my own style anyways, I don't really care what I review, so I will trade critique of it…

What is your genre?
Pseudo-Intellectual Claptrap. Science Fiction of a sort. Dark. Horror. Poems: Epic and so on. Borges-like fantastical. The weird.

novels, short stories, poetry
Are you a pantser, a plotter, or a hybrid?
hybrid
What is your current project?
A romance of a garden which is also a mythical history. A bunch of fables and phantasms all poured in the same plot with a frame about a guy the girl he likes and the guy she likes as they live in this remote garden. It's all about Love, see?
What stage is your current project in?
Writing the first draft.
I'm looking for a CP who
wants to swap full drafts just for critique, is willing to swap chapters as we go, who will be there from the ground up on a project

What do you feel is your greatest strength as a writer?
It changes daily, and from story to story. Some stories are strong in their mythopoetic fashion. Some are best for dialogue. My plots range from the well-thought out to the nearly incomprehensible. I think, though, the dense mythology is what I do best, the sense of there being a world beyond the words.
What do you feel is your greatest weakness as a writer?
Everything above is weak even when it's strong. I'm a poet first, and fiction is really my secondary action. Not many people these days are really longing for Dunsany styled Pegana type Gods.
Do you have any specialized knowledge in some field?
Uh, well, I know literature. Especially modernist poetry. I can tell you all about Eliot and Pound and so on. I can also make lyric about the importance of disperse poets from Sandberg to Sappho to O'Hara to Dowson. Oh, and if it's a quest type, fertility ritual poem or story, I know all about that (see: "I can tell you all about Eliot").
