Ah, but it doesn't give much of an edge. I'd love it if that was true but I've struggled as hard as others. Although, it does give experience in the rewrites. I had one where the editor and I went back and forth for months before she accepted the story as what would work. Then I found something I had pulled from the first version as an illustration! Really cool.
I have short stories published but am still waiting for that first book contract. Aren't we all? I think it's soon but with the market the way it is I need every edge I can get.
No problem; your current projects sound way intriguing. :) The Perversions of Nature in particular hints at having some nice opportunities for dark comedy.
I wrote an ending and the basic story is there. I'd like to go in and fine tune it and add some scenes. I think 50,000 words is short for a novel so I will probably expound on some things. I don't have time to mess with it right now though.
I'm a romance lover so it's a romance between a guy who was in the Russian Mafia and a girl he saves from being enslaved in a prostitution house for the Russian Mafia. It was fun writing. Sascha is such a tough guy but he's sweet too.

Hi Michelle. I neglected to post that I had finished my work with 50, 674 words. Yes!!!! Thanks for asking. I totally fell in love with my hero in the process.
