1.) Targeting for Mountains Instead of Mole Hills

Imagine seeing sharp peeks and welcoming the sight-when sharp vertical slopes brings a smile to your face. Not often in life we anticipate the mountains. Blowing things out of proportion is something we try to avoid. Wouldn’t we rather face the mole hills?
Not when we open our dashboard and click on “stats”.

Jo-Anne,
I'm so sorry! I could have SWORE I messaged you back! I don't make a habit of ignoring people!
How's your writing going?
Did you do NaNo?
I started it...got into it about 20k then my silly classes began to interfere so I didn't finish but am STILL working on the MS.

Hey Jo-Anne, I'm a member of the Toronto Romance Writers, but didn't judge this year, nor did I enter anything. Contests can be so subjective, sometimes they're laughable. Sometimes I think that judges feel pressure to comment on something and look for faults that might not be there in order to feel like their judging productively. Personally I'd rather see comments and suggestions. I hate it when a judge says something like 'this doesn't work for me' yet doesn't offer suggestions on how it might be fixed.

Feel free to email me whatever you feel you want me to look at. Send it to binar197 @ yahoo.com (no spaces)

I don't know if you have a preference, but right now I'm trying to plot out this Super (which has no intrigue or suspense whatsoever) so I can get it written asap. I plan on starting it September 2 (day the kids go back to school-yippee) and having the rough draft done before I head to the Ottawa conference. So this week I'm planning on pulling together a chapter by chapter sort of outline, but I just want to ensure that I have adaquate GMC and growth throughout the ms. It will likely be more of a synopsis on steroids, lol.

My RS with para-elements (Dreams, for lack of a better title) better than half completed, however, it's first draft and I don't know if you want to crit first draft or would rather wait for a more polished version of it. I'm game either way, so let me know what's best for you.

Have a great weekend! And happy roaring. We've had a lot to roar about. I think these are the first medals in the equestrian we've had in a very very long time.

Hi Jo-Anne, what part of Canada do you come from? I'm in Ontario. I write romantic suspense, paranormal and catagory. I'm currently revising a catagory romance after having taken a short break from writing.
I work with people who have various developmental disabilities. I'm not sure if you're still looking or not, but what kind of CP are you looking for? I am looking for someone to do an overall read through. My grammar's okay for the most part, although there's still a few areas I'm not 100% sure of. I hear you with the synopsis, it's really hard not to ramble sometimes, lol.

Feel free to message me back if you want to bounce ideas around, or chat. Jeepers, it really does feel like eharmony, lol.

So have you found who you are looking for?
At 5:34pm on August 12, 2008, Kait Nolan said…
It seemed like just the thing. My own dear CP, while widely read in romantic suspense, is presently working on other projects, and most of my other close writing friends are in entirely different genres. The whole thing started because I was looking for someone to add as a new CP who is specifically in the romantic suspense genre, and I couldn't find diddly!
