I write: Time Travel/historicals. I read: Just about anything I can get my hands on :D as long as it's romance. Mostly TT and historicals. I stay away from erotica though. I have one TT published, hopefully out in April, and I'm almost finished ...

Where did you hear about Crit Partner Match? (we want to say thank you to them!)
Worderella Blog
I joined this website because it's exactly what I am looking for!

As a aspiring author its very difficult to find that "right" person with whom you can share your ups and downs of writing: frustrations at the every day process; joys at the moment when you discover the most perfect turn of phrase; that ugly, ugly rejection letter; and one day, that most wonderful call. Don't get me wrong, there are millions of us out there each striving for the same goal but as a writer one of the most important tools is someone you can depend on to be completely honest about your work. A person who offers daily support in this crazy world we call "real life" while we try to write.

That's what I am looking for. I've been writing seriously for 8 years but have only accessed the internet for networking in the past three years or so. I found a wonderful CP who I wouldn't trade for anything but I feel as though I need just a bit more. A few more lovely, lovely writers to help me on my path to success. And of course, it brings me so much pleasure to indulge in the success of others. I don't see a CP as just a random woman out there who comments on my work when they get a chance ... a CP should be a friend, a confidant, a cheerleader.

So, here's hoping!

Hi Emily.

Sorry it's taken me a while to get back to you. I'm still learning how to navigate this site.

Hey Emily. I do love delving deeply into my characters's heads! It's why I have difficulty forming an actual "plot" (that is, outlining turning points, black moments, etc) because my story is twisted and turned by my characters.

Would you be willing to swap my mad copy-editing skillz for some return critting on my manuscript? It's a contemporary, but at least it's romance (well, most days). :-P

I like email, if that works for you. If you prefer, we can work here. I'm currently working on a ya, but I'm up for anything!

Don't doubt yourself. You are the only one who can write your story! Writing is a part of who you are, so embrace both the good and bad passages you've written because every word you write teaches you something more about the craft. I'm sure you're doing much better than you think you are...I mean, you don't write seriously for eight years and not improve!
