Dear Di,

Oddly enough, or perhaps it's not so odd, but I have a bit of experience with BDSM. I wouldn't go back to it, personally, but maybe I could give you some ideas? It would give me a positive reason for why my life took that particular turn. Email me at cat_scratches@doglover.com if you are still stuck or want another POV.

Hi Di,
Sorry to take so long to answer. I've been dealing with a family emergency this week. While I would love to say yes, the group agreed that six members was our target number to be able to give everyone equal attention and we're at that number now. You might want to try what I did and form a group yourself on Google groups and look for members here with similar interests.

Thanks for the thanks, something teachers don't recieve enough of. But then I think, why should we be thanked, we don't thank others for doing their job. I teach, mostly to support myself, not to be selfish, or anything but I originally set out to be a high school modern history teacher. I teach sixth grade because of the situation I found myself in when I started; no credential, no way of getting one without starving or my family starving, no knowledge how to get in the field, and badly needing a job.
God sent me or fate sent me to this little inner city school with wonderful students, families, and staff. Through people who had faith, trust, and confidence in me. I was mentored, babyed, coddled, supported, then given a chance, opportunatety, to teach. First as substitute, emergency credential, working hard to pass classes needed, to become a elementary school teacher and to fulfill the credential requirements as an intern, and as a bonus, I interned by teaching in my own school and in my own classroom. Since then, I have taught thirteen years, with mostly sucesses, lots of adventure, lots of children, coaching, and still have desire to continue for many more. I hope to continue with the energy, and creativeness that I hope to instill in my students. I have given them my website address to read what I create with the skills that I give them and nothing more. They have read them and have stated that "their nice" or "their okay." I hope to give them the love all aspects of language arts; reading, reading for pleasure and learning, reading for a specific reason, and writing, essays, opinions, poetry, plays, letters, reaching out to people, and to communicate with me or themselves through a diary or journal. I would love to see them appreciating the very lyrics that they sing as poetry or as a story and the same time turn them on to all kinds of music, already appreciating Simon and Garfunkel, Santana, Harry Belafonte and other tidbits I throw in during the day. "I wish I was a Kelloggs Corn Flake..." anyways, these may sound like lofty goals that are standard for a future teacher in a job interview, but these simple goals lead to successes in other areas of their education, despite what Know Kid Kneeds to Know says. See you soon, A friend, Sal
