Science Fiction Writer looking for CP to share Chapter by Chapter or...?

Brand new to this site and I am excited about the possibilities! I'm working on 3 science fiction novels under the project name The Worlds of Kohr. Book 1 is a first contact novel called Shiane's Salvage, Book 2, Tangled Web, is about civil war on a space station and Book 3, Daen's Desire, is a space adventure with tinges of romance in it. There are same sex and alien sex change scenes at various places in the stories, just a heads up for those who prefer vanilla or are exclusively hetero in their reading, but nothing very graphic, at least not so far.

I have a BA in English, am good at vocabulary, spelling and grammar, plus fairly proficient at punctuation. I don't necessarily need a SF writer to CP with, but I don't read manga, fanfic, graphic novels or pure romance. Not so sure I could follow the logic for a mystery, due to fibro making me a bit of an airhead, though. I used to be so sharp...(sigh).

I used to have all my written chapters on a set of interconnected websites, one for each novel, but the Tripod gremlins appear to have eaten it all of a sudden. I promise to post the link if I get it up and running again.

Thanks,

=^..^=

be careful with posting any amount of writing on a site that is not password protected! Publishers these days are searching for novels online and viewable to the public. If they find it online, they'll consider it already published.

Thanks for the warning! I've heard of authors giving their novel away, free online, just prior to book publication (Postsingular, for example) so that didn't occur to me. I also read Elf Sternberg's Pendorwright entries on occasion. And didn't William Gibson do an online book? So what about a beginning and then a plot or chapter outline?

UPDATE: I just found out that the new website company I signed up with has password protection planned as an upcoming feature. Yay! Syntha Site was a Google ad I clicked here on CritPartner and they are not only free, but they have some awesome-looking templates. So far I like it much better than Tripod.

I think you can post a chapter or at the most a few. Any published writers posting chapters and or books have done so to bring in more readers to advertise their writing. I do think they have to go through their agents/publisher etc etc before they can even suggest posting anything online
.
As a none published writer. I'd be very careful what I post on an open site.
