A few of us have formed a small paranormal/fantasy crit group. At six members, it's just the right size, and we all found each other here, so thanks Kathleen for the opportunity to hook up with others of like mind and needs. I had looked online for months for ways to find CPs and short of joining online writers' forums (which I've tried and hated), turned up only a few sites where already-published writers could work together. It seemed like a closed club until a Google search landed me at Crit Partner Match. And while we have formed our little group, I still check back frequently to see what new faces have wandered in.

I would suggest, for those of you who have found multiple like minds here, to do as we did and form a small closed crit group. There are plenty of places to base them online - ning, Google groups, to name a couple - where you can exchange chapters/files and get and give multiple crits without getting involved in a large, cumbersome writers' forum. That way you can all concentrate on what you need most, whether that be complete line-by-line editing or just an overall, big-picture viewpoint.

I feel like breaking out my pompons! Wait...I never had pompons... Anyway, it's fantastic to hear of folks being successful. I think it will take a while before it's sort of it's own self-maintaining thing but at 88 members strong, we've got a good beginning. I personally would like to see some more folks in the mystery/suspense genres join up (as that's my bag), but I've already posted in the few forums I am a member of about it so, it's on someone else now. Thanks for updating us Amanda!
